PhantomLite IR/UV/Full Spectrum Lights

June 7th, 2010 - Category: Ghost Hunting Equipment

I was pointed in the direction of these lights from a twitter follower (Parachasers – Chris DeMent). I emailed Randy of Cold Spot Paranormal and asked a few questions and got timely and informative answers so I asked him if he would tell me a little more about his lights. I currently use “another brand” of IR illuminators and quite frankly think charging them every 45 minutes is annoying. You can see the Phantom Lite in action in the forum as well as get answers from Randy (PHANTOMLITE) – Phantom Lite video I asked Randy to write something for Ghost Eyes readers and he sent the following, Thank You Randy.

I have been into the paranormal world for about twelve years and I have seen and heard weird things since I was a child. One of the houses I have lived in had some good activity like someone banging and scratching on the doors. Also you would hear something running down the hall. I used to set up a Sony handy cam with night shot and let’s just say the commercial Illuminators would always let me down. I would get everything setup and recording before I would go to bed, and later in the night I would be awoken with a banging on the door and come to see that the illuminator was dead!

So I started thinking about building one for myself. I knew it would have to be portable and last all night. After about 2 years and countless hours, I have designed a board that not only was really bright but lasted for over 12 HOURS! Now about 3 years later I have a great product and cheap enough for everyone to afford! Every Illuminator that I sell is machined and hand built by me. I test every one about 3 times until the illuminators are ready to get shipped.

I love to help out anyone with either questions about my lights or being related to the paranormal. Not only do I make the lights I am a avid investigaor. We are all in this together trying to get that holy grail of proof. I believe with the right tools we will get that evidence to change the world! I have just opened a new site and would love to get evidence, Links, pictures etc!! Send them my way!

PhantomLite IR IlluminatorThe Infrared model was the first one I have made and got me started in this. The distance on this is about 50ft. and at this distance you would still get a good enough picture from your camcorder. They have a tripod connector on the bottom for you to mount to any accessories associated with cameras or camcorders. They have a very wide angle viewing light on them so they light up the entire room not like a flash light that is real bright in the middle and dark on the outside. They do work with cameras that are set up for Infrared viewing and any camcorder that has a night vision mode or nigh shot. You could also use them with infrared security, cctv cameras. I like setting them up on a tripod to add extra Infrared light for my dvr cameras.

PhantomLite UV IlluminatorUltraviolet models are great for crime scene evidence gathering. They work on Infrared, Full Spectrum and any camcorder or camera. These are not designed for projecting out a huge beam of light like the Infrared model. They light up a nice cool blue color and will light up a room no problem. There are a lot of theories out there with the paranormal world and these are here to help you test your own theories out. These are also designed and built by me and tested!

The Full Spectrum model will be out by the middle of June! I do not want to go into big detail with these until they are out. These are true Full Spectrum Illuminators and if your in love with your Full Spectrum camera or camcorder you really want one of these!

Thanks for reading!

I have to defer to what I saw Barry Fitzgerald post on his facebook:

“Folks I have been asked where would I recommend purchasing a GOOD full spectrum camera. I would give my full support to http://www.maxmax.com they have a great range and have superior quality and price.”

I have just looked at that site all i can find is just camera’s Not camcorders. The only Full spectrum camcorders out to buy right now are those svp HD models. I could be wrong here the tools in this trade are changing and getting better every day. The picture quality on those svp camcorders are moderate not the best but they do get the job done.
