Paranormal Team Interview

Posted by Ghost Writer

Here is a format that the S.I.T.E group uses to interview potential members wanting to join their paranormal team. Thanks to Anna for letting us use this and if you are interested in starting a team check out our article: Starting a Paranormal Team.

I’m going to ask you a few questions just to see where you stand with certain situations and subjects. This is not a make or break interview. It’s just for me to get to know you better.

  1. You mentioned having personal experiences with the paranormal so obviously you are a believer. Do you think you can be skeptical of every bit of data you may collect during an investigation and even perhaps have to discard data that the team was 99% sure was real, but we could not post it because the data is not enough for the public to believe?
  2. Have you read about how paranormal investigators collect data? (including watching ghost hunters) Do you have any form of equipment that you can use on an investigation?
  3. If Yes, do you know the ins & outs of that equipment and how to debunk data that you may receive during an investigation? For example; You use a camera, and you know how to look at pictures and see evidence of tampering, dust specks, insects, film problems?
  4. It looks like you have a wonderful family & my husband and I admire that. How much time could you dedicate to an investigation and analyzing data. (My husband & I spend about 2 weekends a month. We usually go on investigations on Sat night and Sunday go over data.) These don’t necessarily have to be your hours.
  5. Our group is starting from the bottom up just like most other groups. We don’t have corporate sponsors; we don’t get paid in any way to do our work. All of our expenses come right from our pocket. We have the basics of equipment but they have managed to work for us in gathering solid data. Could you contribute in any way to the group’s necessities, for example, batteries, gas, look for haunted locations?
  6. Here in the south we’ve noticed how difficult it is to find people who are willing to talk about haunting, spirits, or even their own psychic gifts. Are you willing to discard other people’s views on investigating the paranormal and continue to peruse responsibilities in the group with or without criticism from others?

I know these seem like tough questions, but we sincerely want whoever comes on board to be as dedicated as we are so we can be the best team we can be. Just get back to me when you can.
