Tiffany Johnson, known by many as Psychic Tiff, is one of the many great women in the paranormal field. She is a gifted psychic, an accomplished Tarot card reader, a Reiki Master, an ordained minister, a certified Hypnotherapist specializing in past life regression and in her spare time volunteers with the Greater Lakes Search and Rescue team. Tiffany has been featured on A&E, TLC, Biography, VH1, CW, Fox, NBC & CBS. We are honored to have her take the time to answer a few questions we had.
Ghost Eyes: When did you realize you had your abilities and when did you decide to embrace them?
Tiffany: It wasn’t really a realization OR a decision. One of my very first memories was waking up, in the middle of the night, due to the chatter around my bed. I found out that the “people” who I was hearing were relatives that had passed over, long before my birth. But beyond that – I just had a HUGE interest. I was buying books on the “occult” (that’s what we called it back then) when I was 7 years old.
Ghost Eyes: As a Reiki Master, what are some of the biggest misconceptions with Reiki?
Tiffany: Ummm… That’s it’s only about physical healing. It can really heal some mental/emotional/soulful issues as well if not BETTER than the physical.
Ghost Eyes: What advice would you give young people who find themselves scared of their abilities?
Tiffany: When we understand ANYTHING fear evaporates. So – read ALL you can get your hands on. Learn.
Ghost Eyes: You do many events, write and much more year around, what did you like to do just to relax?
Tiffany: I DO! And I love each and every one of ‘em! BUT I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE (did I mention LOVE) to shop. I know. Totally cliché. But it’s true. Shoes are my sole mate. Get it?
I know. So corny. Beyond that, I adore baking and yoga/working out. MOVIES are a great escape. Seriously – that pay per view thing is genius.
Ghost Eyes: What do you think would be the biggest asset to having a psychic on a paranormal team?
Tiffany: I think having a psychic brings in another tool. I’ve been on investigations where I’ve picked up hidden (literally hidden in a wall) records that gave insight into the activity that was happening.
Ghost Eyes: Is there one paranormal experience that you have had that stick outs over the rest?
Tiffany: Not really. I don’t consider myself a paranormal gal, so I don’t think that way. I think of myself as spiritual. NOT paranormal in the least.
Ghost Eyes: Who inspired you as you were growing up with your abilities?
Tiffany: Oh my gosh. Honestly – Sylvia Browne was a pioneer. Like her or loathe her, she really did pave the way for the modern-day psychic/medium. She put herself out there. And you have to respect that. Beyond that Edgar Cayce, John Dee, Madam Blavatski.
Ghost Eyes: How has your abilities changed the way you look at life and death?
Tiffany: You know, since I really started so young, I don’t think it’s CHANGED anything. However, I think I do see death a lot differently than most. Although it still, certainly, affects me. I rest assured knowing that the other side is ALL good. And the garbage that is created here is washed away over there.
Ghost Eyes: Do you still investigate?
Tiffany: Not often. I really don’t need to. As a psychic, I can just tune in like any other session I’d do. But, again, I don’t consider myself paranormal. I just have a LOT of rad friends that pursue paranormal research and sometimes ask me to come along with. ![]()
Ghost Eyes: Whats new with Psychic Tiff?
Tiffany: My next book, “No, Really, I’m a Psychic…”, is coming out next Spring via Llewellyn Books. It’s about my life. Not an autobiography, but there is certainly some personal stuff/stories in there. It’s about what can be covered in readings, my take on psychics IN the paranormal world, a chapter from my husband on having to LIVE with a psychic… All sorts of good stuff. So – y’all need to check that out in 2013!
Besides her new book, there is so much more than Tiffany has going on. There are many great services she offers, great products including anointing oils, cd’s and books and she wrote one of our most favorite books, Picture Yourself Developing Your Psychic Abilities.
