Continuing our paranormal interviews with some of the great people in the paranormal, we asked some questions to clairvoyant medium and psychic paranormal investigator Dakota Lawrence.
Ghost Eyes: Your website says you are a clairvoyant medium and psychic paranormal investigator, what is the difference?
Dakota: A lot of psychics that I’ve worked with don’t do paranormal investigations, they will do a walk through and leave. I also like to do the investigation aspect utilizing my abilities and the tools we use to capture paranormal evidence. That way it proves the haunting outside of just my abilities or the equipment capabilities or vise versa proving that it is not a haunting at all or just residual activity.
Ghost Eyes: How has your abilities changed the way you look at life and death?
Dakota: I don’t look at death as a finale performance of this lifetime. Working with spirits who are on the otherside or that are Earthbound have shown me that death is merely a transitional state of where we leave the physical vessle (Body) we are in and move back to the source of being a spirit energy or soul. I would say that as far as life goes its taught me that mistakes happen and so does drama, rumors and negativity. If you pay attention to those negative sources it throws you off your path. It’s best to focus on you, your goals and the people around you and not feed that darkness in life. It’s a big test we have that is constant.
Ghost Eyes: What advice would you give kids with psychic abilities?
Dakota: EMBRACE IT!!!!! Don’t be fearful of it and try to find a mentor in your area if possible. Let it come and don’t be afraid if it isn’t part of your path to really pursue the psychic field then always allow that intuition to come… it does help out greatly in life and the things you will come across as you become older with work and people you meet. Always listen to your “spidey sense”
Ghost Eyes: Is there a paranormal event that has greatly impacted your life?
Dakota: I’d say every single one has. Each time I learn from someone and get to work with and meet many peers in the paranormal field. Just like every gallery and reading I have conducted every single one a message comes through and I know I was meant to be there at that moment in time for that person and they in turn teach me from what they are going through.
Ghost Eyes: What advice would you give psychics or mediums who want to find a paranormal team to work with.
Dakota: Be selective. Plain & simple. I wouldn’t tie myself to just one team either. Get out there and work with as many teams and groups as possible to allow yourself to really fine tune your gifts of working in the paranormal investigting aspect.
Ghost Eyes: You do Enlightenment Radio, lectures, events..do you still investigate?
Dakota: I had to leave Enlightenment Radio behind due to my schedule. I still have and always will work private cases. I treat my cases that I do investigate just like my readings they are private and confidential. Just because I am busy it doesn’t mean people still don’t need help. I’ve always had that I’ll sleep when I’m dead style mentality and if there is work to do then I will do it and manage around my schedule for sleep.
Ghost Eyes: How has your Native American heritage helped you with your abilities?
Dakota: I would say that it has helped me in my spirituality and staying connected to the Earth and the Creator. When you stay in balance intuition flows like water.
Ghost Eyes: I have heard a lot about this year being the beginning of spiritual enlightenment, what is your opinion?
Dakota: I think it is. We are seeing a lot of the old patterns die off and seeing more acceptance and love come in. I know a lot say it is the end of times with the Mayan Apocalypse but I say its more of a world wide transition. We need to learn acceptance and love to be a priority and not focus so much on material things. I’ve seen a lot of my clients go through amazing transitions of leaving their negative habits behind and truly focusing on attracting a better lifstyle and mindset for them and I can only hope that the world continues that pattern and that 2012 is the catalyst for that.
