Savannah, Ga – April 23rd – 25th
What better way could you spend a beautiful spring weekend after a long cold winter than in one of the most haunted cities in America, Savannah Georgia. First founded in 1733, Savannah is full of history including being a part of the second bloodiest battle of the Revolutionary War as well as being saved in the Civil War when General Sherman during his relentless “March to the Sea” campaign spared burning Savannah to the ground opting instead to give it to President Lincoln as a Christmas present.
We are inviting you, April 23rd – 25th to join us during an investigation of two historical and active locations in Savannah. First the Tybee Lighthouse, which was commissioned by General Oglethorpe in 1732 and has been in service for 270 years and we will have access to the lighthouse as well as all the surrounding light keepers buildings. We were there last year and got several EVP’s including footsteps in one of the houses we actually heard out loud.
Next will be the Roundhouse Railroad Museum. We are very excited to be going here as we will be one a very few groups that have been allowed to investigate here. This National Historic Landmark was built in 1843 on the land that the Revolutionary Battle of Savannah took place. On October 9th 1779 French and American soldiers attack Savannah which was taken by the British about a year earlier. The attacked failed and within an hour there were thousands of casualties. During a truce a mass grave was dug and French and American soldiers were buried in it. The British held Savannah until 1782.
If you have wanted to participate in a real investigation, join us in Savannah!
