We left off having some personal experiences in the banquet room and now we got our chance to head up to the third floor where the rooms are. We were the only ones in the Inn this evening so all the rooms were open to us. We enter room 6 and do an EMF sweep and after getting a base reading we all get the same feeling going into the bedroom.
It is difficult to explain but we all explained it in the same way to each other, it is not really a feeling of being watched, it is a feeling that someone is there before you go in. There are four of us in this group and all four of us turned towards the bed as we walk into the bedroom and all four with the same explanation, we felt someone should be there. It was different from the feeling of being watched, that feeling tends, for me anyway, to be a little creepy. This was more of an expectation that someone was indeed already there.
One of the strangest phenomenons in this room and in room 1 was that the EMF detector would give high readings right in the middle of the bed in both rooms. In another session during the night an investigator not with our group claimed to see a light in room 6 hover over the bed and the dart away and disappear. He was recording at the time but I do not know what further investigation of the video has yielded. We did however have our recorder on during this time and have an inconclusive EVP of a word or breathe at the exact time the other investigator saw the light.
Room 3 was our room and as I mentioned in the last post, there is a lot of paranormal activity associated with this room and area. Right outside the door is a red high back chair and it is said that this is E.D. Barnhill’s chair and he likes to sit there and walk around in room 3. We did do an EVP session at the chair and did not get a response. Unfortunately we did not have any experiences as we got our 4 hour nap in before heading home.
From here we head to the basement and get a firsthand account from an employee of what he saw one evening as he was closing up. As we enter the rather cramped area of the basement he turns out the lights and the only illumination is the red exit light. Do to the confined area; it does emit enough light to see the employee fully as he recounts his story.
The employee claims to have come down after closing the bar and seen a figure wearing a fedora standing in the corner. The figure was darker than the dark in the corner itself. Though taken a back at first, this is the first paranormal activity the employee has been a part of and curious, he walks towards the figure only to see it disappear into the darkness behind it.
We all met again on the first floor where the kitchen and restaurant is located. There has been a lot of paranormal activity claimed in these areas. Voices, an apparition of a little girl around the women’s bathroom and even small pots in the kitchen being moved have all been reported by employees and guests alike.
As we all spread out, Angela decides to turn on the recorder and walk around the restaurant area away from everyone else. It is here we get the best EVP of the evening. Angela has had some very interesting personal experiences all throughout the evening and has claimed a couple times that when she is alone, she feels someone there and even reported once that she heard a woman’s voice yell at her to “Look at me!”
In the EVP we hear a male’s voice whisper “Hello, I have spoken to you”.
