Most Haunted Place in America: The Hotel Chelsea The Hotel Chelsea is a historic New York City landmark which opened in 1884. During the early years it was the tallest building in New York and was right in the middle of the theater district. This grand 12 story brick building featured ornate flower-ornamented iron balconies and a grand staircase that went up all twelve floors. It was the city’s first private apartment building but within a few years all that changed when the theater district moved further down town and the people went with it. Most Haunted Places in America: Hotel Alex Johnson In the mid 1920’s, Rapid City, South Dakota was enjoying quick and steady growth. The area of the Black Hills was connected to the rest of the world by railroads and was becoming quite a tourist attraction. This was not lost on Chicago & Northwestern RR vice-president Alex Carlton Johnson who thought it was a perfect time to build a grand hotel. What is EMF and how does it pertain to the paranormal? Honestly no one can answer that whole question directly. We can break it down and answer one part directly, EMF is “invisible lines of force that surround any electrical device that is plugged in and turned on.
