The New Orleans Investigative Weekend

We have had many great experiences in New Orleans and now it is time to go back! We are excited to announce another public weekend investigation of New Orleans including the Ashley House and Bourbon Orleans Hotel.

The weekend is set for January 29th – 31st.

“The New Orleans Investigative Weekend” package includes:

Luxury accommodations for two nights at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel located off of New Orleans’ historic Bourbon Street.

  • 90-minute ghost tour of New Orleans
  • Two-nights exclusive investigation of two different locations
  • Southern Ghosts gift bag
  • Complimentary Cafe Du Monde Excursion

The now Bourbon Orleans hotel has a long and illustrious history with the City of New Orleans. The building first served as the Orleans Ballroom starting in 1817 and soon after the Orleans Theater was built right next to it.

Unfortunately the Civil War ruined the New Orleans night life. In 1881 the theater and the ballroom was purchased by the Sisters of the Holy Family and used as a convent, girls’ school, medical ward and orphanage. The Bourbon Orleans Hotel now claims that there are at least 17 ghosts that have been documented on the property.

Not only are there paranormal claims but it seems this claims cover many different time spans in the history of the building. There are claims of an apparition of a confederate soldier with his weapon roaming the 6th floor, children have been heard roaming the hallways possibly connected to when the Sisters of the Holy Family had the building , the Grande ballroom still seems to have a lady dancing maybe linked to the famed Quadroon Balls held at the ballroom, a woman is said to haunt the elevator as well as an apparition of a man in the grand lobby smoking a cigar and reading the newspaper.

The Ashley House has the distinction of being one of the most haunted houses in the nation. The house used to keep prisoners of the Civil War and is said to be highly active.

Claims are of seeing an apparition of a woman in the parlor, pianos playing by themselves, footsteps being heard all over the house, doors that open and close by themselves as well as cold spots throughout the house.

Join us in the French Quarter this January! Bring your camera and use our equipment to help investigate. We will give you introductions on using the equipment as well as a detailed history of the location and the claims. Then join our team and other investigators as you investigate these two great paranormal locations.
