This would be our last day in Gettysburg for this trip. We skipped the early morning session at the park and slept in. So we picked up the crew later in the day and for the final stretch we had on the agenda: Oak Hill, Iverson’s Pits, Culp’s Hill and dust at Spangler’s Spring. Then after night fall, Devils Den, Sachs covered bridge and the ballroom at the hotel. Huge last day!
Oak Hill overlooks what would come to be named Iverson’s pits. During day 1 of the battle General Iverson came upon this area. Knowing that the Union troops were around but not knowing where, he ordered his men into a battle line, one straight continuous line of soliders.
Normal strategy involved sending in little scouting party’s ahead of the main line to see if they could get the Union to reveal where they were hiding. General Iverson did not do this and the Union troops popped up from behind a wall and fired. 100’s of men were killed instantly. That night 4 long shallow trenches were dug and the confederate dead were rolled into them and buried. It is claimed that when a mist falls it will form to look like Iverson’s line of soldiers.
We didn’t encounter anything like that but have a few pictures we are still going through. We gave the Lady in White one last chance at Spangler’s Spring to see if she would again make an appearance, nothing was seen by anyone and again, evidence takes time to go through.
We promised to return to Devils Den during night time and it did not disappoint. The four of us in the Ghost Eyes group headed for the spot in between the two major rocks. Once there, we took out the K2 and decided to do an EVP session. During our first attempt the K2 meter went crazy and at one point bounced several times in the red.
Angela felt the hair on the back of her neck raise and the strong feeling of someone standing behind her. Unfortunately that session ended abruptly when my cell phone went off! I know, I know but thought I had it muted. We started another EVP session and again the K2 jumped. We decided to go get a few others standing close by and see if together to try another EVP session.
With around 8 of us there now and a few getting the feeling someone there, we again started an EVP session. This time three separate K2 meters went off in varying degrees of strength with one about 3 feet away from the main group. It was an exciting and somewhat eerie session but one that was fruitful and will be posted with the other evidence at the end of the week.
The Sachs covered bridge is a story all unto itself that we will try and cover in the upcoming weeks. We had a couple people who could not make it across the bridge to the high level of bad energy coming from it that night. Our group did not get any personal experiences from the ballroom investigation but hopefully something will turn up on audio.
Here is a sample of what we have so far. There is a click around the 12 second mark then what seems like a very low answer to the question asked. At the 16 sec mark, we have enhanced the audio and replayed it twice at the end of the recording. We are just going to present the evidence and let you decide what it says or doesn’t say. We think we know what it says.
